From Ink to Code explores the contrast between traditional and digital design through the work of Stanley Morison and Beatriz Lozano. Morison’s work in the early 20th century emphasized structure and functionality for print, while Lozano’s contemporary approach integrates generative coding to create interactive types for digital platforms.
My design approach reflects this contrast by bringing two visual styles into conflict. One side draws from traditional printmaking and typesetting, using imagery of typesetting machines, ink splatters, and physical printing processes. The other uses bright colors and digital visual elements.
